Addressing the religious literature and studying the position of the Ahl al-Bayt (may peace be upon them) are the important topics in Persian literature. Undoubtedly, we have heard the mission of the Ahl al-Bayt through poetries, literature, and historians, however, the influence of poetry is perhaps much more than a history book. Thus, there are great poets all over the history, from the past until now, who have wrote in praise of the Ahl al-Bayt (may peace be upon them). Vesal Shirazi is one of the follower poets of Ahl al-Bayt whose poems reached the deep souls of his audiences. This paper reviewed the position of Ahl al-Bayt in Vesal Shirazi’s poetry, and introduced interesting and influencing concepts in the religious literature. In fact, he succeeded in portraying many treasuries of Shia poetries and historical events, and he presented a collection of Ashura poems. After a brief discussion on biography of Vesal Shirazi, the paper addresses the position of Ahl al-Bayt in his poetry, and in cases needed, some poems are presented as samples. Finally, the results are discussed.
