The present study investigated the story of "two brothers" from a story collection entitled "unmarked fears" by Gholam Houssein Saedi. In addition, some of the characters of the story were investigated from the viewpoint of psychoanalysis. In this regard, referring to the works of Freud's, psychoanalytic perspective markers in text were categorized, and then it was attempted to explore the story of "two brothers" with respect to these markers. It seems that Saedi considered the story of "Cain and Abel" in processing the general pattern, and he glanced at Carl Gustav Jung‚s thoughts. However, he obviously made use of Freud's psychoanalytic thoughts in creating the characters and the quality of their relationships with each other, and he addressed its main characters including the older brother and the younger brother, according to key modifications in this school of thoughts including Oedipus complex, oral and anal characters.
