Vocabulary in any language is the chief building block of that language. The richer the composition
and vocabulary of each language, the more positive effect has been caused on the fruitfulness and
dynamism of that language. Persian language is one of the most dynamic and fertile languages
in the world and that is why its freshness and liveliness has been preserved for many years and
centuries and it has reached to the present form. Abolfazl Alami, the author, historian and
secretary of Akbar I, was the greatest Gurkani king of India, whose works on various subjects
have lasted. One of his works is called Tohfe-ye Fathiye. He has used some linguistic possibilities
in lexical composition, the most important of which is derivative composition. In this way, he
has used a special method in the art of writing by using affixes, pseudo-affixes, conversion of
subjective and objective adjectives, and the use of unusual words, finally, he has invented various
and audible combinations which has great affect on his rhetoric and eloquence. Although Alami
has been written in the knowledge of the dictionary, it can be said that his composition in his
various writings has had strong support. In this article, the Allami’s art of conformation as one
of his outstanding linguistic features has been studied descriptively-analytically.
