Bahman-Nameh by Iranshah Abi-al-Khair, in relation to the story of Bahman, is the son of
Esfandiar. The poet composed his poem keeping in mind the works before him, such as Avesta
and Pahlavi texts, as well as prominent epic books such as Ferdowsi's Shahnameh. In this
research, with a descriptive-analytical method and a comparative approach, the authenticity of
mythological narratives related to Bahmannameh and their compatibility with the narrative of
Ferdowsi's Shahnameh and other epic texts have been investigated. The results of the research
show that Iranshah was most influenced by the masterpiece of Farzane Tus in composing
Bahmannameh and dealing with Bahman's life, in the construction of the story. However, in
terms of the effectiveness of the narrative, the sources and sources of two different poets, and
consequently, dealing with Bahman's life in Shahnameh and Bahmannameh have also become
dissimilar. On the other hand, the similarities between Bahmannameh and Faramaraznameh
regarding the narration of Bahman's personality are very interesting and similar to each other.
