"Soul" is one of the most thought-provoking words in Islamic mysticism and Sufism, which is
also faced with different opinions and views in Persian literature. By searching in the history of
visual arts, we find out that the ancients always depicted the soul with wings and feathers. In
mystical texts, "bird" is widely used as an allegory of the soul. In the epic texts that contain the
firsts, the beliefs and rituals of ancient people, as well as in the Kushnameh system, which has a
mythological and historical aspect, beliefs and ideals that are rooted in the history, culture and
civilization of Iranshahr are reflected. According to the history of the composition of his work,
Iranshah bin Abi al-Khair inevitably reflected his religious beliefs, such as: thanksgiving to the
Almighty, Naat of the Holy Prophet, praise of the King of Islam, etc., in the poem, but sometimes
in addition In the verses, we come across things that are rooted in the beliefs of ancient Iran, and
of course, they are derived from the first-hand sources that were available to the poet. Using the
descriptive-analytical method and based on library data, the present article tries to analyze one
of the traditional ancient beliefs, that is, "the belief that the soul is a bird", which is mentioned
in verse 1051of the Koushnameh
