Suleiman-nameh is a religious mathnawi by an unknown poet named "Yusuf bin Siraj bin
Muhammad" nicknamed "Teacher". The only founded copy of it scribed in 739AH. and its
content is a mixture of folk stories, interpretations of the Qur'an and Israelite stories; Among
other things, he recounts a story about Simorgh's presence in the court of Prophet Solomon
(PBUH) and his debate about destiny, based on which Simorgh claims that he can prevent
the destined marriage of the daughter of the King of the Maghreb with the son of the King of
the East, but finally defeated, hides forever in shame. This article compares Simorgh's story in
Ferdowsi's Shah-nameh and Suleiman's manuscript with a theoretical method and a descriptiveanalytical approach. In the Shah-nameh, Simorgh himself raises Zal with kindness and spreads
the shadow of love over him and his family throughout his life. In Suleiman-nameh, Simorgh
kidnaps a girl and keeps her on top of a mountain. The girl considers this Simorgh as her enemy
and jailer until finally she is freed from him with a trick. Destiny wins in both stories, with the
difference that Simorgh Suleiman Nameh claims to prevent fate and fate, but Simorgh of ShahNameh, although he informs Zal and Rostam about the secret of time, he knows that the end of
the game Fate will destroy the Zal family
