From a cognitive perspective, metaphor is a method of understanding meaning, conceptualization and perception of subjective domains are based on another domains which is often objective and simple.Conceptual Metaphor is the most important achievement of modern linguistics in which abstract concepts are objectively and empirically conceptualused. The concept of metaphor for the first time was raised by lakoff and Johnson in a book called Metaphors we live by. the present study deals with the comparative study of conceptual metaphors of the domain of love in the work of the Afghani and IshiGuru (winner of the Nobel prize in literature, 2017). The data of this research were extracted based on the pattern of conceptual metaphor recognition of the terms and expressions of love in these two writings.in this research ,we explore the most frequent metaphorical mapping and source domains by examining the parts in which the concept of love is conceptualized in the form of conceptual metaphors.
